Century? This is hosted by Frailty Myths at St. Stephen & the
Incarnation Episcopal Church, 1525 Newton St. NW, WDC 20010. Join with folks
from Women's Wire and the Melanin Collective to discuss how we can elevate
intersectional feminism in a strategy for dismantling patriarchy around the
world. See https://www.facebook.com/events/649681078784247/.
21] – There is a PSC Hearing on Proposed Crane Peaker Power Plant on
Mon., Apr. 1 at 7 PM, organized by the Sierra Club Maryland Chapter, 1124
Bowleys Quarters Rd., Middle River 21220. Contact Ruth Alice White at ruth.white@mdsierra.org or 716-562-6276. The
old Crane coal-fired electricity plant was removed from service June 2018
because operators (PJM) agreed to retire this plant because it is NO LONGER
NEEDED for electricity in the region. Now, C.P. Crane LLC wants to turn
the shuttered plant into a gas peaker plant. This is the most polluting type of
gas plant that exists. Come to a Hearing to Ask the Public Service
Commission to deny the permit for this polluting, out of date, and unwanted
form of energy generation! Written comments must be submitted by April 4,
2019 to Terry J. Romine, Executive Secretary, Maryland Public Service
Commission, 6 St. Paul St., 16th Floor, Baltimore 21202.

– NATO turns 70 this year, and
along with our European friends, U.S. peace activists are throwing a

new nuclear weapons and trade wars with Europe, Japan and China, the gathering
of NATO leaders to celebrate the antiquated and now global military alliance’s
70th anniversary should be high on our list. Speakers will include Medea
Benjamin and Ann Wright, just back from Iran, Rev. Graylan Hagler, leading
justice advocate in Washington, D.C., Reiner Braun, Kate Hudson, Lucas Wirl,
Kristine Karch, Alexander Neu (MEP) and Alain Rouy, European peace movement
leaders, Anna Ochkina of the Institute of Globalization and Social Movements in
Moscow and Phyllis Bennis of IPS, Peter Kuznick of American University, Kevin
Martin of Peace Action, Bruce Gagnon of the Global Network Against Weapons and
