60] – Demonstrate with the MD Coalition to Stop BGE Rate Hikes outside Gov. Martin O’Malley’s office in the Schaefer Tower, Baltimore and Light Sts., from 3 to 5:30 PM. During his campaign, O’Malley promised to “stop” the rate hikes.

61] – The Pledge of Resistance-Baltimore hosts an End the War! End the Occupation! rally on Thurs., July 3 starting at 5 PM in Mount Vernon at Centre & Charles Sts. The Pledge gathers in Mount Vernon on the first Thursday of the month to protest the war. Call Max at 410-366-1637.

62] – The Baltimore Museum of Art will host a free screening of FALKENBERG FAREWELL (2006) on Thurs., July 3 at 8 PM. This rarely-seen, dreamlike-but-dark Swedish film by gifted first-time filmmaker Jesper Ganslandt vividly captures the confusion and stress of life after high school. A group of friends spend an aimless, nihilistic summer trying to decide whether or not to remain in their small and arguably dead-end town. This is the Baltimore premiere.

65] – Join the Network of Spiritual Progressives on Fri., July 4 for an Inter-Dependence Day Celebration from 1 to 4 PM at the pavilion at Dayspring Farm, 11301 Neelsville Church Road, Germantown, MD 20876. This is an opportunity to affirm interdependence with all of the world’s peoples. There will be a picnic, and participants can set-up at noon.
